Nurse pleads guilty to drug thefts at Bremerton nursing home

A nurse who stole narcotics from a nursing home has pleaded guilty in federal court in Tacoma.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office in Seattle says 47-year-old Diana Lancaster of Silverdale faces up to four years in prison and a $250,000 fine when she is sentenced on Feb. 1 for acquiring a controlled substance by deception.

Lancaster was employed as a registered nurse at the Evergreen Health and Rehabilitation home in Bremerton.

She stole narcotics, including oxycodone, and wrote in medical charts the drugs had been given to patients.

Bremerton police stopped her Oct. 3 and found pills in her car and home.

Prosecutors say she abused some of the drugs herself and sold some to others.
